Help:
If you
are having problems logging into Skatenet please follow these
trouble shooting steps:
Check
customer number and password:
1. Make sure you have entered the correct Customer Number
and Password assigned to your account.
Check your internet properties to make sure your computer
is connected to the newest Skatenet page:
1. Click the "Start" button located in the lower
left hand corner of your screen to open the "Programs
Tray".
- Depending on which version of windows you are running you will look for an icon called "Settings" or "Control Panel".
- If you see the "Control Panel" icon then move to step #2.
- If you see the "Settings" icon you need to click it to display the "Control Panel" icon then move to step #2.
2. Click the "Control Panel" icon located inside
the programs tray to open the "Control Panel" menu.
3. Double click the "Internet Options" icon located
inside the "Control Panel" menu to open the "Internet Properties"
window.
4. Make sure the first tab "General" is selected
and look to the middle of the window for a section called
"Temproray Internet Files".
5. Click on the "Settings" button located to the
far right of the window to open the "Settings" window.
6. Located at the top of the window will be a section called
"Check for newer versions of stored pages". Make
sure the choice called "Automatically" is selected.
7. Click the "Ok" button to close the "Settings"
window.
8. Click the "Ok" button to close the "Internet
Properties" window.
9. Click the "X" box in the upper right hand
corner to close the "Control Panel" menu.
Clear your cookies:
(Completing this step will delete all temporarily
stored information for websites you have visited in the
past.)
1. Click the "Start" button located in the lower left hand corner of your screen to open the "Programs Tray".
- Depending on which version of Windows you are running you will look for an icon called "Settings" or "Control Panel".
- If you see the "Control Panel" icon then move to step #2.
- If you see the "Settings" icon you need to click it to display the "Control Panel" icon then move to step #2.
2. Click the "Control Panel" icon located inside the programs tray to open the "Control Panel" menu.
3. Double click the "Internet Options" icon located inside the "Control Panel" menu to open the "Internet Properties" window.
4. Make sure the first tab "General" is selected and look to the middle of the window for a section called "Temproray Internet Files".
5. Click on the "Delete Cookies" button located to the far left of the window to open the "Delete Cookies" window.
6. The "Delete Cookies" window will prompt you to "Delete all cookies in the temporary internet folder?" Click "Ok".
7. After you click "Ok" it will take you back to the "Internet Properties" window
where you need to click on the "Delete Files" button located to the right of the "Delete Cookies" button.
8. This will open the "Delete Files" window which will prompt you "Delete all files in the temporary internet files". Click "Ok".
- The "Delete Files" window will also give you the option to "Delete all of your offline temporary content that has been stored locally." Depending on which version of Windows you are running you may or may not have to delete the offline content.
- If you choose to delete the offline content select "Delete all offline content" and click "Ok".
- Once you click "Ok" this process could take anywhere from a few seconds to 10 minutes depending on how often you clean you computer of old temporary internet content.
9. Click the "Ok" button to close the "Internet Properties" window.
10. Click the red "X" box in the upper right hand corner to close the "Control Panel" menu.
11. Depending on your computer and what version of Windows you are running you may have to "Restart" your computer to clear its casche in order to completly delete all of your cookies.
